As the seasons change, we remember that which never changes while honoring the ever-changing nature of life. This practice is challenging, but extremely rewarding. We flow through nine rounds of 12 sun salutations, with a dedication before each round and a short break between the rounds, and savasana to end the practice. If you have never done this kind of practice, please know that this is not about completing 108 sun salutations. Simply being in the energy of a group flowing as one is extremely healing and empowering.

Yin yoga targets the connective tissue, which usually does not get reached through a more dynamic practice. In this style of yoga, poses are held anywhere from a minute to five minutes, depending on the pose. This practice is extremely beneficial to everyone, and is a great complement to yogis who are used to a stronger, more powerful practice. Beginners are welcome to this class, but as with any classes, please advise the teacher of any injuries or conditions that may be aggravated by the deep stretching.

Weekend Repose (Gentle Yoga and Meditation) is the perfect end-of-the week retreat packed in just one hour. This class is taught by one of the Rishi Yoga teachers each week (teachers will rotate; please check the schedule to see who is teaching on a particular Sunday) and is a wonderful way to experience different styles of gentle yoga and meditation and reset your body and mind for the upcoming week.

This practice gives us the best of both worlds: a strong, dynamic flow in the first half, and a deeply restorative session in the second half. We build heat in the muscles and expand the breath to shift our attention from the mind to the body, so that both the mind and body can relax and restore. Beginners without any injuries or physical limitations are welcome.

Flow Into Alignment: Make the most of your practice and bring freedom to your flow.

In this workshop, Michelle Linane explains the basic principles and core components of Vinyasa yoga. With a focus on alignment, this workshop is designed to help you build a safe and comfortable foundation for your practice, whether you are new to yoga or are already practicing.

By breaking down each pose, you’ll have the opportunity to play and explore the principles as they apply to your individual body. Specific attention with be given to the four poses that compose the Vinyasa transition: Down Dog, Plank, Chaturanga, and Up Dog. As we explore, we’ll learn how to move with our breath and flow with confidence and ease.

Each participant will receive individualized attention and there will be plenty of time to ask questions and engage in open conversation. You’ll leave with a solid foundation and the knowledge to keep yourself safe in any Vinyasa class.
